Vasudha’s vision is to see a world living together as one happy, peaceful family without anyone deprived of basic living needs and education.

Vasudha as an organization is born out of the thoughts of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, a Sanskrit phrase found in Maha Upanishad meaning ‘The world is one family’.

As Swami Vivekananda said in Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1893, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam represents all of humanity. Compare the nations of the world to members of a family.  A family is a nation in miniature. Simply enlarge the circle of household and you have the nation. Enlarge the circle of nations and you have all of humanity.

The main concern of the world today is peace and harmony. For peaceful healthy life one need equality, brotherhood and freedom. That’s the rule of mother nature and we have to follow it. In fact is needful in today’s scenario. Every religion, spiritual texts and even ayurveda says that be one to be healthy. Spread love to have good life, do good karma and behave like everybody is part of your family. It’s our duty to be kind for mankind, let’s be a family…let’s spread love… let’s make world beautiful.

Following in the footsteps of Swami Vivekananda, Vasudha wishes to do its bit to bring the world together as one happy and peaceful family. Vasudha firmly believes that good education brings world together. Nobody in the world should be starving for basic needs of food, clothing and healthcare. Vasudha believes that educating as many people as possible and making sure nobody is starving for food, clothing and healthcare takes a step in the direction of bringing the world together as one family.

We want the education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded, and by which one can stand on one’s own feet.
– Swami Vivekananda
