As part of its charitable purposes, Vasudha will support educational efforts of underprivileged population and general public. We firmly believe that education gives the best opportunity for underprivileged population to break the cycle of poverty and exploitation and assimilate in the mainstream society as contributing members. Education for general population helps them make better decisions and improve their quality of life. Several people in the villages though they may not qualify as underprivileged, lack the education needed to lead a quality life. Developing the villages from education point of view and teaching them the right values pave the way for societies to advance. A lot of crimes we see in the society can be eliminated if we focus on educating people with right values.

Our broad goal in this area is to advance the educational opportunities and experiences for underprivileged children, youth and adults as well as general population. We plan to accomplish this by working with schools or other government facilities to bring about improvements in areas such as:
Allowing schools to support additional teachers, thus reducing student-teacher ratio
After school programs, co-curricular activities
Arts, crafts, music classes
Meal programs
Field trips
Scholarships to merit students to further the education of poor students.
Organize knowledge sharing sessions for local formers on advanced farming techniques.
Organize training sessions for vocational skills like tailoring, carpentry, plumbing useful in the villages for people to become self reliant.
Organize communication workshop for village children to improve their English speaking and communication skills.
Organize educational seminars on living with high integrity, moral values and social responsibilities.
Organize educational seminars on healthy living habits, Yoga sessions and basic health care.
Organize educational events on fundamental principles of democracy, government and citizen responsibilities and value of vote in a democracy.
Basic infrastructure and teacher salaries to organize these events.
We progress on our mission for education by focussing on few villages at a time. Our goal is to help as many people in these villages as possible by improving their awareness on importance of education, providing basic education to be able to read and write to get them ready to admit to a local government school and assist them along the way to progress on their education path. We plan to achieve this by working with local government schools and augmenting their efforts in whatever way possible by providing additional volunteer teachers and facilities as necessary.
